Kidz 4 Him is always looking for volunteers, and you are welcome if you are interested in working along with us. We do require that for you to work with us you need to be 18 years old and if this is your first time away from home please come with a friend.
Kidz 4 Him is a strongly Christian orientated organization and because of this we do not allow cohabitation drugs or alcohol or the use of tobacco on the project site.
New laws in Zambia now stipulate that every volunteer must now produce a current police fingerprint report. And it is imperative that this be completed and posted to us before you purchase a ticket and make plans to come.
Zambia is a third world country and the challenges faced in a third world country are present in Zambia. Theft is an ever present threat so you will need to make sure that you do not bring unnecessary valuables with you.
Because of the isolation of the Kidz 4 Him project site it is important to realize the difficulties you will need to overcome. There are no regular shops for you to go and visit so please bring all things you need with you. Especially bring all medicines and first aid supplies that you will require.
Africa is a very rugged and beautiful place. Kidz4him will do everything they can to ensure you are safe and kept free from harm and or danger. But it is your responsibility to make sure you take care of your self as Kidz4him does not have the staff to cater to individual needs. Insurance is strongly advised as medical evacuation and changing a ticket can be costly.
Currently visitors can enter Zambia without vaccination but antimalarials are strongly recommended. For those who are inclined to get the vaccinations you are advised to speak to your medical professional about these. Some of the recommendations include yellow fever, hepatitis A B, typhoid, and tetanus.
We have not seen a case of cholera in the 8 years we have been in Zambia and the WHO do not recommend you receive a vaccine for this.
